The yearly event, which includes a silent auction and raffle, created by Team Powerstone, and supported by its corporate partners, has been held yearly for eleven years. Powerstone CEO Rene’ Decker stated: “In 2011 we identified PCRF as our charity of record and have for over a decade held various events and participated in programs to help raise awareness and funding for important life-changing research. Eleven years later we are extremely happy and proud to report that we have reached over $1,000,000 in total donations. The event which drew over 400 people included music, food and drinks and a silent auction made possible by corporate sponsors that contribute funds and also provide a number of the silent auction items. There was a brief presentation where Powerstone Director of Community Management, and Chairperson for the event, Kylie Decker stated: “I want to thank all of our sponsors who donate needed funds, time and energy to this important cause. Without them we simply could not have reached such a significant milestone as $1,000,000.” She added: “This is such an important aspect of our corporate culture because it provides the opportunity for our employees to join in with each other and with our partners to support a great cause.
