Porsche Santa Barbara Celebrates Class-Leading Ranking in Initial Quality Study

Power and Associates Initial Quality Study out of a total group of 33 international automakers. This ranking is the highest Porsche has ever received, in the history of the U.S. survey. SBAlogo5

The Porsche 911 and Porsche Boxster models ranked the highest in their categories. Both cars received the J.D. Power and Associates Award for vehicles with the highest level of initial quality in the Midsize Premium Sport Car and Compact Premium Sport Car segments. The Porsche 911 has now been ranked two years in a row for this segment.

The popular Porsche Panamera also ranked well in its class, earning the third spot in the Large Premium Car segment. Similarly, the Porsche Cayenne ranked third in the Midsize Premium SUV segment.

The Initial Quality Study is held annually and is in its 27th year. It provides industry benchmark information for the new-vehicle car market. The survey includes results from over 83,000 American car buyers. Included in the study was a total of 230 vehicles from 33 auto manufacturers. The study participants answered questions regarding their ownership experience in the first 90 days, covering more than 230 individual criteria.
