Porsche Center Pulkovo took part in the run of electric cars from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Valdai
In August, the Association for the Development of Electric, Connected and Unmanned Transport and Infrastructure organized a run of electric cars on the roads connecting the two capitals.
- (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2021 - The start was given simultaneously for the participants from St. Petersburg and Moscow. Some of the crews set off from the Porsche Center Pulkovo, which is part of the group of companies AVTODOM. Others began to move towards the goal a few kilometers from Moscow, from the 23rd kilometer of the M-11 Neva highway. Each crew covered 350 kilometers to meet at the endpoint of the Valdai Eco Club, located in the Novgorod region.
The uniqueness of the project lay in the fact that the drivers were faced with the task of not only driving 350 km from point A to point B, but also taking part in the expert assessment of the transport network. They had to assess the state of the electric charging infrastructure along the entire route and the process of operating electric cars in the current conditions for Russia. Rest, Q&A-session on electric vehicles, volleyball competition between the Moscow and St. Petersburg teams, quiz and awarding the winners with prizes and gifts from Porsche Center Pulkovo was expecting the participants who arrived at Valdai.
The next day, immediately after breakfast, the rally participants took a test drive of the new Porsche Taycan presented by Porsche Center Pulkovo. The electric car participating in the run in the Turbo S version is equipped with an electric motor with a return of 761 hp. and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. At the same time, it remains silent, environmentally friendly and versatile. A high battery capacity, a spacious interior and an impressive total volume of luggage compartments make the car an excellent solution not only for comfortable movement around the city, but also for travel.
