Political Law Attorney Chris Gober of Dallas Named Among Top Young Lawyers in Texas
Political legal consultant and attorney Chris Gober of Gober Hilgers PLLC has been recognized on the 2012 Texas Rising Stars listing.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2012 - Dallas lawyer Chris Gober, co-founder of the trial and political law firm Gober Hilgers PLLC, is being recognized in the 2012 Texas Rising Stars listing as one of the state's top young political law attorneys.
A leader in the area of political law, Mr. Gober currently represents more than 100 active political clients including U.S. senators, congressmen, governors and multibillion-dollar companies. He regularly advises clients in campaign finance matters, federal and congressional investigations, administrative enforcement actions and redistricting litigation. At the 2011 Aristotle Excellence Awards, he was one of only two attorneys in the country selected to receive the Republican Dream Team legal award in recognition for his "hard work, client dedication and passion for politics."
Prior to opening Gober Hilgers, Mr. Gober served as the head of the political law practice at the international law firm of Fish & Richardson. He previously served as General Counsel for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington, D.C., where he led the committee's legal operations and provided legal counsel to Republican U.S. Senators regarding ethics rules and campaign operations.
Mr. Gober also worked as Deputy Counsel to the Republican National Committee and as Counsel in the Office of Legal Policy at the U.S. Department of Justice. He earned his law degree from Harvard Law School and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University.
Texas Rising Stars selections are based on nominations from fellow attorneys. Selection is limited to those lawyers age 40 or younger or those who have been practicing law for fewer than 10 years. Overall, only 2.5 percent of eligible Texas attorneys received the Rising Stars honor. The complete 2012 Texas Rising Stars list is featured in the April issue of Texas Monthly magazine.
