PolicyTech announces the release of Policy & Procedure Manager version 6.0 which includes the first ever MS Excel module integration.

Rexburg, Idaho April 5, 2011: PolicyTech's Policy & Procedure ManagerŪ (PPM), version 6.0, is now available to companies looking to manage policies and procedures with an electronic software package. Policy & Procedure Manager helps businesses and government manage policies and procedures in a secure electronic environment that allows for easy monitoring and security.

The latest version, 6.0 improves on the highly successful 2009 release of PPM 5.5. It offers a report generator which allows users to sort PPM data in hundreds of new combinations. Furthermore, the policy documents will be linked from the reports to allow for easier usage. Report data can also be exported directly to excel, allowing users the ability to easily manipulate their data.
Another major first in PPM 6.0 is an integrated Microsoft Excel module that will function similarly to the integrated Word module. Users will be able to create, edit, and review Excel spreadsheets with ease because it is embedded in PPM. With this Excel integration users can more easily manage accounting and financial information in relation to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) or other financial regulations. While PPM is integrated directly with MS Word and MS Excel, any file type can be uploaded and managed within the system - including video files.
Document writers will also take advantage of the escalation email function that will allow a user to set deadlines for completing review or approval steps on each document. Next document writers will utilize the improved properties wizard that will allow document owners to more easily manage document properties. The 6.0 wizard allows for a more personalized process of creating and managing policy metadata.
Finally, PPM 6.0 offers a host of new print functions to benefit users that need paper copies of policy documents in addition to their online manual. These functions include: automatic table of contents, print properties with each document, printing of attachments and continuous pagination.
