PODD Media launches its first FB Game
As a casual game, Balloon Journey for Facebook has an uncomplicated gameplay that requires minimum skill.
- (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2011 - PODD Media has launched the beta version of its online adventure game Balloon Journey for Facebook, the world's most popular social networking website. Balloon Journey, a flash-based game that allows players to circumnavigate the world in three minutes, is now available to Facebook's millions of users.
As a casual game, Balloon Journey for Facebook has an uncomplicated gameplay that requires minimum skill. It is perfect for casual players who want to engage only in games that will not take much of their time. In just a few minutes, one can travel to exotic places, pick up collectibles, and dodge pesky obstacles and flying objects for a whole lot of gaming fun.
The game was first launched for Sqweeze, an exergaming device that combines video games and fitness for fun and healthy interactive experiences. Its current Facebook version has a similar concept: the player/balloonist has to travel the world and back to collect ten treasures scattered along the journey. Identical set of obstacles in the form of flocks of birds, bombs and airplanes can slow down or plunge the balloon to the ground.
Balloon Journey for Facebook is intended as teaser for a story-based mystery adventure for the iPhone, to be launched in Q2 2011. "The iPhone version is still around the theme of balloon navigation, but this time with a mystery & adventure twist.
