Pocket Anatomy Releases the First 3D Human Anatomy App for iPad
Pocket Anatomy today announced that Pocket Heart, the first 3D human anatomy iPad application for biology students and coronary care professionals is now available for download from Apple's App Store.

The application will primarily assist biology students who are studying the anatomy of the human heart and are seeking a learning aid to assist their studies and exam preparation. Although developed for the iPad, the content can also be accessed though both the iPhone and iTouch Apple handheld devices.
Pocket Heart from http://www.pocketanatomy.com is a new innovation in the learning of human anatomy. It provides detailed anatomical content in an interactive and easily accessible 3-D form and comes with a built-in capability for the student to self-test as a mechanism to support and reinforce their learning and examination preparation. The learning content is presented as a series of fully annotated illustrations with detailed narrative associated with the various elements of the heart and the capability to make individual learning notes as the student progresses through the learning content. It has been developed by a team of human anatomy experts based in National University of Ireland Galway Medical School and is designed primarily for the medical student requiring detailed knowledge of the human heart as part of their anatomy studies.
Pocket Heart 1.4 is now available through the App Store. This latest release is now iOS 4.0 compatible, offers improved interior and exterior heart modelling and an improved quiz GUI.
