Plan for New Airport Development at Itapipoca in Ceara, Brazil
With the Itapipoca Airport Development plans well under way, the Brazilian civil aviation predicts an influx of more than 3 billion euros of investments in construction and the upgrade of 270 airports and aerodromes in Brazil.
- (1888PressRelease) February 07, 2018 - Introduced in 2012 the PAC (Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento) which is the Brazilian governments Growth Acceleration Program aimed at improving the country’s infrastructure as Brazil’s overall economic growth further benefits the country, including earning a coveted high investment rating from Standard & Poors (S&P).
The Brazilian civil aviation predicts an influx of more than 3 billion euros of investments n construction and the upgrade of 270 airports and aerodromes in Brazil.
The Ceará state alone will be assigned 600 millions euros funding to be spread across nine airports.
This governmental action is based in three primary objectives: Infrastructure (construction ans upgrade) , administration and subsidies for air ticket price reduction and viability of regional flights. There are seven cities being considered: Canindé, Crateús, Iguatu, Itapipoca, Jericoacara, Juazeiro do Norte and Quixadá .
The SAC (Civil Aviation Secretary) and development consultation team have now agreed that the refurbishment and regeneration of Itapipoca airport are in preliminary studies phase. The total cost for this airport is estimated at around 300 million euros and the Brasilia (DF) Company have been working in since October 2014 to achieve this.
