Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2018 - Plaine Products is proud to announce their approval as a B Corp and for receiving Leaping Bunny’s cruelty-free certification on all of their products.

B Corps are a new type of company that recognizes the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Certified B Corps meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It’s like Fair Trade certification but for the whole business, not just a bag of coffee (or USDA Organic certification, but not just for a carton of milk; or LEED certification, but not just for a building). The performance standards B Corps meet are comprehensive, transparent and verified.

Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions not only on their shareholders, but also on their stakeholders. Examples of stakeholders include workers, suppliers, community, consumers, and the environment. The process for being approved as a B Corp is rigorous. To date, there are only over 2,200 Certified B Corps across 140 industries in 50 countries. Plaine Products is now one of 17 B Corps located in Ohio.

The Leaping Bunny Program, led by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), is the gold-standard in cruelty-free certification internationally for personal care and household products companies. Leaping Bunny certification guarantees that no animal testing has been conducted at any stage of product development.
