- (1888PressRelease) December 18, 2011 - On Tuesday 17th December, luxury bespoke kitchens design company, Plain English hosted a House & Garden event at their Marylebone Showroom on 28, Blandford Street, for 40 lucky readers of the magazine. House & Garden had organised for specialist royal wedding cake maker Fiona Cairns and Interiors Stylist Sue Skeen, to attend the event, where they demonstrated their skills and shared their advice on preparing for the Christmas festivities.
The event began with an introduction by Plain English's Creative Director, Katie Fontana who talked briefly about the company's Georgian-inspired designer kitchen that have been in demand throughout the UK and abroad for the past 20 years.
Fiona Cairns, who has enjoyed a successful cake-making career spanning 25 years and was invited to bake the official wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, then took over the Plain English kitchen to create and decorate the ultimate Christmas cake.
The showroom had been transformed into the perfect setting for a Christmas dinner to remember by Interiors Stylist Sue Skeen, whose work has repeatedly been showcased in interiors books and magazines throughout her career, and there was a chance to win a Plain English 'Rabbits Ear' chair and a delicious Christmas cake, made by Fiona Cairns.
"We were delighted that House & Garden asked us to be a part of what was a truly festive affair - and thrilled to have Fiona Cairns and Sue Skeen present to treat us to some delicious treats and visual delights." (Katie Fontana, Creative Director)
