R-Value Foam's custom mobile trucks climb steep terrain to put spray pads and trench breakers where needed, regardless of weather or ground conditions, without holding up pipeline schedule.
(1888PressRelease) December 17, 2014 - Rosebush, Michigan - R-Value Foam has announced completion of eighteen miles of 8" and 10" pipeline support services for a pipeline project owned by Blue Racer, contracted by Welded Construction, L.P. R-Value Foam was engaged to provide foam pads and foam trench breakers or plugs for the project.
R-Value's president, Mark Benaske explained some of the challenges, including the steep terrain they encountered: "We worked in areas where Billy Goats would fear to tread; it was so steep". But using our highly mobile trucks, it allows us to climb hills and spray pads or trench breakers to keep up with main line and then jump back to spray for all the tie-ins without holding up the pipeline construction."
Other challenges included installing foam pads all eighteen miles at every ten feet, including though wetlands and stream crossings. Benaske continued, "Our foam is uniquely formulated to be able to spray in any weather and ground conditions. This allowed us to get the job done; no excuses, and no delays."
