Pinta Mi Cuna Comes to Art Basel 2016 to Help End Poverty in Latin America
Custom Hand-Painted Cribs to be Auctioned on December 3rd at Artium Gallery in Wynwood.
- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) December 03, 2016 - When it comes to wiping out poverty, every little thing makes a difference. This is the thinking that inspired Mompreneur and mother of four, Francine Delarosa, the founder of Give Wink Children's Boutique, to create and support the Pinta Mi Cuna effort. The fundraising event, which will take place on December 3rd from 8 to 11 pm during Art Basel Week, features hand-painted cribs fashioned by local artists, which will be sold at auction with proceeds going to Techo - an international non-profit organization that seeks to improve living conditions and opportunities for impoverished children and families throughout Latin America.
"Our aim with this event is to plant the seed of giving and lead by example for our own kids and future generations," said Francine Delarosa. This is the fifth year the owner of Give Wink has been working to expand and enhance the fundraiser. "PINTA MI CUNA brings together two of my passions - art and the world of babies and kids. My hope is that this will pave the way for an annual event where the South Florida community comes together for a great cause through a fun, creative and interactive initiative. I am humbled by the generosity and support of my vendors, clients, participating artists and various professionals who share in this vision."
Besides Give Wink, other title sponsors of the event include Baby Home and the Artium Gallery, which will host the exhibition and auction of nearly 20 cribs, each customized by a different artist with a totally unique design. The cribs themselves are from the popular high-end Micuna designer brand, which typically retails at $600 or more without customization. The fundraiser and auction are free for the public to attend and will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Artium Gallery located at 2248 NW 1st Place, Miami FL 33127. The exhibition will begin at 8 pm with the auction beginning around 9:30pm.
