(1888PressRelease) April 29, 2017 - PROVIDENCE, R.I. - As an accomplished researcher in the field of analytical chemistry, author Phyllis R. Brown faced disloyalty, research theft and social bias as she rose to prominence in a field that largely excluded women. But she never gave up. Guided by her steely determination, creativity, and integrity, Brown went on to become a revered researcher, professor and author.
In Life with the Boys: One Woman's Life in Chemistry, Brown tells a moving story of her road to success, from her childhood and the early influences that gave her the strength to continue on her chosen career path to the allies she discovered along the way and the professional accomplishments she realized despite the obstacles she faced.
Readers in any profession and at any stage in their careers will find inspiration in her first-hand account of prejudice and the courage, determination, gratitude and healthy dose of chutzpah it took for Brown to achieve her goals.
Brown always believed a woman could have the best of all worlds, and Life with the Boys is her tribute to that belief. The book can be purchased through SDP Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
