Phuket International Marine Expo 2011 (PIMEX) forecasts record attendance
The eighth Phuket International Marine Expo (PIMEX) also known as the Phuket International Boat Show are expecting a record number of exhibitors and visitors this year.
- (1888PressRelease) December 14, 2010 - Organizers of the eighth Phuket International Marine Expo (PIMEX), Informa Yacht Group, are expecting a record number of exhibitors and visitors this year.
The event is Asia's largest in-water boat show and will be held from 6th to 9th January 2011 at Phuket's Royal Phuket Marina.
"Last year saw strong boat sales by exhibitors at PIMEX and this year we are aiming to surpass that with over one billion Thai Baht worth of sales," commented Andy Dowden, Informa Yacht Group's Show Director.
The annual event draws buyers from all over Asia; including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Jakarta and Hong Kong, giving exhibitors the opportunity to reach a wide target audience.
Top brands such as Azimut, Benetti and Ferretti Yachts will be on display along with local boat builders such as Cata Thai, Composite Catamarans, Sunnav and Seat Boat.
Luxury automobile marques such as Jaguar, Lexus and Land Rover will also be on show.
"PIMEX 2011 is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet; the range and number of boats on display is more than you will find anywhere else in Asia and this combined with the exhibitors in the Hall and the luxury car companies taking part this year, means that PIMEX 2011 is truly a lifestyle show like no other," said Dowden.
Organisers are expecting around six thousand visitors to attend the show; including more than two thousand trade visitors.
