Phoenix Financial Firm Invests In Education And Entrepreneurship
FSW Funding awards ASU Students scholarships.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) June 22, 2016 - FSW Funding, a Phoenix-based factor financing firm announces the honorees of its 2016-2017 scholarships awards. The firm annually awards two Arizona State University students with scholarships - one to a female STEM student and the other to a student demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit.
Allison Michael, a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering was selected as the 2016 FSW Funding STEM scholarship winner. Michael has maintained a 3.8 GPA, while carrying a course load of 21 credit hours. Allison will receive a $1,500 merit scholarship for her achievements.
"We established the STEM scholarship to support and encourage females interested in pursuing a career in science and technology," explains Robyn Barrett, founder and managing member of FSW Funding.
ASU entering senior, Monica Bartolomei is this year's winner of the FSW Funding Entrepreneurial Scholarship, which recognizes students for their entrepreneurial spirit. Bartolomei is a earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Entrepreneurship and applying her knack for entrepreneurship in her sales internship with Liberty Mutual. Bartolomei will receive a $2,000 scholarship for the 2016 -2017 school year.
"In addition to being a full-time student in the business school, Monica is a licensed Arizona property and casualty insurance broker, with a passion for entrepreneurship that impressed us," adds Barrett.
The FSW Funding STEM Scholarship is now in its third year and the FSW Funding Entrepreneurial Scholarship was established in 2009.
