Philadelphia Personal Injury Attorney Roberta D. Pichini Presented Strategies for Advancing in a Successful Legal Career at the Philadelphia Bar Association

During the seminar, she provided attendees with the secrets to advancing in a successful legal career.
Pichini was selected to serve on the panel as a representative of the last five Sandra Day O'Connor award winners. Panelist covered a wealth of topics including business development, achieving partnership, following a career path, being proactive in your career, making a difference, and mentoring. Other panelists included Stephanie Resnick of Fox Rothschild LLP, Dean JoAnne A. Epps of Temple University Law School, Roberta Liebenberg of Fine Kaplan & Black, and Lynn Marks Executive Director of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts.
Pichini discussed ways for women lawyers to advance in their careers. She advised women to take the time to think about their long- and short-term goals and to clarify their intentions on how to reach those goals. She advised, "Set your goals and intentions loosely enough at first to examine them to make sure they fit with reality." She also advised attendees to know their audiences, "Know who is passing judgment, know what they want, know what they need and know how to deliver." Pichini said, "Just like anyone successful in business, it is important to be ambitious and confident."
Pichini has represented victims of medical malpractices practice matters including obstetrical negligence resulting in brain-injured children, delay in diagnosis of cancer, emergency room errors, and patient abuse by therapists. Her diverse practice has included product liability matters and representation of victims of catastrophic auto and boating accidents.
Pichini was the first woman in Pennsylvania to be invited into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers and will become the first woman president in 2011. Pichini has also been invited to join the American College of Trial Lawyers and American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. She has been named a Super Lawyer® each year the award has been given. In 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Pichini was recognized as a Top 50 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, and a Top 100 Philadelphia Super Lawyer.
