LCA fellowship is by invitation only and highly selective. Only those attorneys who possess an outstanding record of litigation effectiveness and achievement and a superior ethical reputation are invited to become LCA fellows.
A founding partner, Shepherd focuses her practice on catastrophic injury claims arising from medical negligence. She has represented clients in a wide array of medical malpractice claims, including those against health care providers arising from obstetric/childbirth injuries, delayed diagnosis of cancer, negligent surgery, psychiatric malpractice and many additional medical errors. The LCA, established in the 1950s, is the first major trial lawyer honorary society. Its purpose is to recognize deserving, experienced and highly qualified lawyers, to provide an outlet for scholarly authorship of legal articles on trial and litigation practice, to provide additional sources for professional development, to promote superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law, to assist in community involvement by its membership and to advance a superior judiciary.
