Pga National Resort & Spa To Debut Iclub Piano Bar With Partigras Event Saturday, Jan. 11
With portion of proceeds benefiting American Red Cross, Mardi Gras-themed grand opening night will feature progressive dinner and 20-person American musical performance group MarchFourth Marching Band.
- West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) January 01, 2014 - PGA National Resort & Spa will introduce its new iClub Piano Bar to the public at a one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment experience, PartiGras, on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 6:30-10 p.m. This Mardi Gras-themed evening will feature the 20-person American musical performance group MarchFourth Marching Band, which will lead guests throughout the resort grounds for a progressive dinner of Cajun-inspired cuisine. Recognized as "one of the nation's best live touring acts" and a "kaleidoscope of musical and visual energy," the dynamic jazz-fusion band has performed with Fleetwood Mac, Balkan Beat Box, Pink Martini, No Doubt, KISS, Blink 182, The Neville Brothers and many others.
PartiGras guests will be the first to discover PGA National's new iClub Piano Bar, a supper club-style venue featuring live music, light bites, decadent desserts and cocktails. Vocalists and musicians from iClub will perform at each stop along the way.
"Nothing beats the thrill of live entertainment," says David Fine, senior vice president of sales, marketing and revenue at PGA National Resort & Spa. "PartiGras guests will be amazed by the theatrics of MarchFourth and seduced by the talents of our iClub Piano Bar musicians. And this evening will be just a taste of things to come at this exciting new addition to our hospitality offerings at PGA National."
Located in the main lobby, iClub Piano Bar will be open Thursday through Saturday from 6-9 p.m., offering locals and resort guests world-class entertainment and hospitality in an atmosphere reminiscent of classic piano bars. The lounge will be enclosed in glass walls and comprise seats for 40-50 guests, creating an intimate ambience to enjoy great acoustics alongside cocktails, tapas and desserts.
Following recent $100-million property-wide renovations, iClub Piano Bar joins a trifecta of offerings at PGA National that invite guests to "linger longer," including the signature Wine Spectator-awarded restaurant, Ironwood Steak & Seafood, and iBar, one of the most buzzed-about bars in Palm Beach.
Aside from their marching band-themed costumes, as well as the five-piece percussion corps and seven-part brass section, MarchFourth is far from a "marching band" in any traditional sense. The 20-person group is anchored by funky electric bass and has been evolving into a more guitar- and vocal-driven musical experience. The show at PGA National will take guests on a journey from the swamps of Louisiana to the gypsy camps of Eastern Europe to the African jungle by way of Brazil, echoing American funk, rock and jazz and then boiling it all together in cinematic fashion with high-stepping stilt-acrobatics and dazzling dancers.
Single tickets to PartiGras are $95 in advance or $120 at the door and include entertainment; Cajun-inspired fare; unlimited beer and non-alcoholic beverages; and one specialty cocktail. Special room packages, starting at $325, comprise two tickets to the event and resort room accommodations. A portion of all proceeds from the evening will benefit the American Red Cross.
