Petitude Online Pet Store Sends Donation to Australia Dog Rescue Organisation

(1888PressRelease) July 30, 2010 - Petitude, Australia's FUN and VALUE online pet store today remits $180.49 to Dog Rescue Newcastle, a volunteer organisation that rescues dogs and cats from death row at local pounds and put them into loving foster homes. The amount is generated through its Shop for a Cause advocacy campaign, which was launched in February of this year.

Through the unwavering support of passionate Petitude customers, Petitude was able to generate the said amount for the period of five (5) months. Total of 34 pet items were sold -- ranging from pet harness to dog clothes and cat trees -- to 18 very generous Petitude customers who share the pet rescue advocacy. From the total sales of $1,203.24 AUD, Petitude donated 15% to Dog Rescue Newcastle.

Our unfortunate companion pets in Dog Rescue Newcastle need all the help, love and support that they can get in order to survive. It is very disheartening to know that even with the fact that these four-legged buddies can bring joys to many because of their lovable nature, some of them experience the cruelty of life by being deprived of a happy and caring permanent home.
