Peters Calls For Tax Incentive For Pharmaceutical & Medical Supply Companies To Move Manufacturing Operations Back to the U.S.
Says Coronavirus Pandemic Demonstrates Vital Need To Bring Back: Made in the U.S.A
- (1888PressRelease) March 18, 2020 - Today Sam Peters, United States Air Force veteran, Bronze Star recipient, businessman and Republican candidate for Congress in Nevada’s 4th District, called for an immediate tax incentive for pharmaceutical and medical supply manufacturing companies to move operations back to the United States. Peters pointed out that the coronavirus pandemic demonstrates the need for these vital commodities to be safely and measurably manufactured inside the United States. He pointed out that during the Obama/Biden years, the cost of manufacturing in the United States became exorbitant. For many industries that has changed under a great Trump economy. This proposed tax incentive would induce pharmaceutical and medical supply companies to return manufacturing operations stateside, would result in jobs for thousands of Americans, and lessen America’s dependency on foreign countries that do not have our clear America First agenda.
“The coronavirus pandemic has fully demonstrated the need for pharmaceutical and medical supply companies to manufacture in the United States. We should never find ourselves in a position where our medical response, community safety, and overall healthcare system is dependent on foreign entities,” said Sam Peters. “Sadly, under previous administrations manufacturing in America became economically unfeasible. I am proposing a tax incentive that will reverse this course as soon as possible.
“The exodus of pharmaceutical, medical supply, and other manufacturing in the United States is a legacy of the Obama/Biden years,” continued Peters. “Nevadans remember those years far too well with record unemployment and foreclosures. My service as the next congressman in Nevada will put America First.”
Peters is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Panama, and Korea. He earned the Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.
After his service to our nation, Peters worked for two years as a corporate employee where he managed nearly $100 million in annual revenue across the largest geographical region in the United States. Peters settled in Las Vegas with his family, and exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, Peters founded Peters Family Insurance with two locations. He presently employs eight.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Park University, Missouri.
