Peter A. Bellacosa’s Bio
Mr. Bellacosa is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group at Phillips Lytle LLP, a law firm with offices located throughout New York State, Washington, D.C. and Canada. Prior to joining Phillips Lytle, Mr. Bellacosa spent 25 years in the Litigation Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, including more than 21 years as a partner. He concentrates his practice in the areas of class action defense, product liability, mass torts, ERISA, securities, and commercial disputes. He also has extensive experience with criminal and regulatory investigations. He has represented a diverse group of leading U.S. and international companies in complex, high-stakes disputes in federal and state courts and in arbitrations, including the defense of insurance, tobacco, cell phone, petroleum, chemical, automobile, and securities companies in class action cases across the country. He has complemented his private law practice with significant pro bono public service, including serving by appointment to highly sensitive public boards with wide-ranging duties and responsibilities by New York State Governors and Chief Judges.
