Patty Briguglio And Art Glasgow Named To Wake Education Partnership Board

- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) December 10, 2011 - Wake Education Partnership (http://www.wakeedpartnership.org), an independent non-profit dedicated to creating world-class schools in Wake County has announced that Patty Briguglio, president of MMI Public Relations, and Art Glasgow, chief information officer and vice president for Duke Medicine, have been appointed to serve as members of the organization's board of directors. Effective immediately, Briguglio and Glasgow will begin their three-year appointments acting to connect other Wake County business leaders and elected officials with area educators for Wake County Public Schools.
As a recognized expert in the PR industry, Briguglio is a sought-after media personality, speaker and business spokesperson who often addresses the topics of PR, crisis management and economic development issues on television, radio, and at local and national meetings and conferences. She sits on numerous civic and charitable boards, and among her many awards are the 2009 Woman Business Owner of the Year Award from the Raleigh chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Small Business Champion for North Carolina by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), as well as being named one of Enterprising Women magazine's Enterprising Women of the Year.
Glasgow is responsible for leading technology strategy, innovation, initiatives and operations throughout Duke Medicine, which is made up of the Duke University Health System, the Duke School of Medicine, Duke School of Nursing and the Duke faculty practice plan. In addition, he works in collaboration with Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore and Duke Medicine's other global partners to develop an IT strategy. Before joining Duke, Glasgow served as chief technology officer for Ingenix, Inc., a $2.5 billion health informatics and information technology subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. In that role, he directed a product and technology team of more than 500 products and 1,500 personnel in supporting customers in the provider, commercial payer, government and life sciences markets.
