Patrice Njoh and Julia Dinh Presents Evolution: A Charitable Gala for the June Callwood Centre for Women and Families
Look good, feel good, do good. Activism is always in season. Evolution, a charity fashion gala will be held on March 19, 2011 at the cultural Bata Shoe Museum in support of the June Callwood Centre. Evolution promises a flare-filled evening with fashions by Pink Tartan, Michael Kors, Peach Berserk and many more.
- (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2011 - Toronto, Ontario - Patrice Njoh and Julia Dinh in collaboration with Student Reach International presents Evolution, a charity fashion gala in support of the June Callwood Centre providing free services and support to pregnant teenagers and young adult parents. Fashion will meet action at Evolution, a flare-filled evening celebrating individuality, self-discovery and community on Saturday, March 19th at the cultural Bata Shoe Museum.
Pink Tartan, Michael Kors, Kingo Couture SNӦ of Sweden Jewellery, Peach Berserk, Bench, Scotch & Soda, Noir et Gris, and Banana Republic will showcase a sneak peak of their spring 2011 line to support the cause. Since 1982, the June Callwood Centre for Women and Families have developed a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of young families throughout the City of Toronto. Supporting the cause is the Student Reach International a non-profit organization dedicated to providing students with humanitarian opportunities to better the lives of those living in impoverished conditions. Inspiration. Empowerment. Evolution promises a schmooze fest of wine and hor d'oeuvres to encourage community involvement.
Born in West Africa and raised in Detroit, Patrice Njoh is a public figure drawing inspiration from rich life experiences to develop workshops and mentorship programs that inspire young people to strive for their highest potential. Currently Patrice coordinates the "It's a Girl Thing!" Young Women's Mentorship Program in various priority neighborhood schools, and is the Executive Director of the Patrice Njoh Foundation dedicated to capacity building in women's initiatives. In partnership is Julia Dinh, Toronto-based creator and author of the fashion blog NewJuless.com, and founder of The New Sky Collective, a program committed to fundraising for various local charities. With a passion for fashion, Julia is currently working on the official launch of JuliaD Lifestyles, offering event planning, personal styling as well as workshops.
