Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Christmas Conference has the World's Largest Choir
Christmas Eve 2015 Service organized by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, he had A-list Gospel Music stars and about 12,000 embassy members.
- (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2016 - The Christmas Eve Service organized by the Christ Embassy had A-list Gospel Music stars and a mass choir having about 12,000 members, reported to be the largest choir. The group played several carols in melodious tones. This was an attempt to break the Guinness World Records of the largest choir of about 8,688 participants achieved by the Members Church of God International (Philippines), at the Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines, on 12 October 2015.
The event was starred with artists like Frank Edwards, Sinach, Eben, Joe Praize, the Rap Nation and a host of other performers. The carols were performed on the rhythmic tunes of a live Orchestra conducted by multi-talented musician T-Sharp. They together performed soulful carols and songs that captivated the attendees.
Attended by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and other church leaders, the event was aired live to a global audience through the church's three satellite TV stations viz. LoveWorld Plus, LoveWorld Sat and LoveWorld TV. Along with this, the show went live on the internet through the YouTube-type mobile apps the church calls "CeFlix".
The Mass Choir rendered the world record breaking attempt song "You're the Only One Like You"- written by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
The Christ Embassy hopes that its attempt to break world record of the largest gospel choir has met all requirements and would name the attempt as the new world record for the same.
