PartsBadger Adds New Collaborative Robot for 5-Axis Mill Station
PartsBadger Invests in innovative manufacturing with a new collaborative robot for a 5-Axis Mill Station.
- Milwaukee-Waukesha, WI (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2022 - PartsBadger completed the installation and programming for another new collaborative robotic arm to complete 3, 4, and 5-axis milling jobs in their Cedarburg, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This marks yet another step in the automated production process to accommodate manufacturing demand.
“The VF4SS That we have connected the robot to is a Medium Haas Mill with 50" of X travel, 25" of Y travel and 20 inches of Z trazel, The machine has the IO boards to be a 3, 4,or 5-axis mill with the addition of a Rotary or 5th axis trunnion. We have 2 and 3 axis and a trunnion setup so we can do 3 stations of machining with 1 being the 5th axis.” - Eric Jaccard, Shop Manager, PartsBadger
This robot will help feed parts into the VF4SS machine’s station to create parts with little human intervention.
“The new robot will help load and unload production parts while no or minimal operators are tending the machines.” -Eric Jaccard, Shop Manager, PartsBadger
To keep up with supply chain demand, Roy Dietsch, CEO of PartsBadger, made the decision to innovate by investing in new technology for their machine shop.
"Automated tending is a key component to the manufacturing transformation that will allow us to supply parts OnDemand to customers with fast lead-times and globally competitive prices." -Roy Dietsch, CEO, PartsBadger
