Native Paris rock band The Fafutels will be seeking fortune and fame as the compete for the title "The Best Band in the World" as part of the Emergenza Rock Festival.
- (1888PressRelease) May 29, 2013 - Emergenza is a rock festival for up and coming, unsigned rock bands that has been going strong since 1992.
The Fafutels state that they are, "four fanatics who mysteriously ended up with each instrument on a mountain in Peru and have therefore decided to form a band. The choice of rock was made because it is the music that is closest to the signals sent by their counterparts from space to earth, thus, even though they now reside on Earth, and more specifically Paris as the Eiffel Tower can amplify these signals, their music makes them feel at home."
The band consists of Quentin Lorenco on guitar and vocals, Alexander Selam on guitar and vocals, Mathieu Ghobrial on bass and vocals and Adrien Stiefel on drums and vocals. They will be performing at La Scène Bastille located at 2bis, Rue Des Taillandiers, Paris on Wednesday June 5, 2013. They will be competing against seven other bands including Chill the Mob, Les Probo, EMJI et les Ames es noir, Shadoscopie, Greasy Spoon and Red Pachidoes.
The bands will play 30 minute sets in hopes of moving on to the finals on August 11 in Germany. The Fafutels will hit the stage with their hard rocking sound and hopes of being crowned "The Best Band in the World."All national winners move on to play at the international final in Rothenburg, Germany at the Taubertal Open Air Festival.

The finalist band members voted as "Best Drummer", "Best Singer", "Best Guitarist" and "Best Bassist" also get instruments and other technical material from the festival sponsors.
