The game follows David Lake, a screenwriter and devoted father, whose life is shattered when a violent car crash leads to the disappearance of his young daughter, Emma. As David embarks on a relentless journey to uncover the truth behind her vanishing, he finds himself thrust into an eerie, abandoned city where reality itself begins to unravel.
In Paradox, players will take on the role of David, exploring atmospheric environments and solving intricate puzzles in a world where the line between the mind and reality blurs. The game offers a third-person perspective, allowing players to navigate a haunting landscape filled with otherworldly enemies, mythical characters, and emotional layers that reflect the trauma and grief of losing a loved one. As David's journey unfolds, players will make choices that shape not only his fate but the futures of others, leading to multiple possible endings.
