Ronald L. Panitch recognized for 50 years of service to the Philadelphia bar.
- (1888PressRelease) September 22, 2016 - The Philadelphia intellectual property law firm of Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel is proud to announce that founding partner Ronald L. Panitch has been honored by the Philadelphia Bar Association in recognition of his 50 years of distinguished service to the bar.
A member of the bar association since 1966, Panitch has focused his practice exclusively on intellectual property law, including licensing and counseling in both patent and trademark matters, throughout his career.
"The law has been my life's work, and I am thankful to have had the camaraderie and collaboration with my colleagues that the Philadelphia Bar Association has offered through the years," said Panitch. "The professional development and relationships that the bar association facilitates are important to maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the practice of law in Philadelphia."
Panitch brings tremendous experience to his consultative role at Panitch Schwarze and is lauded for his impressive ability to negotiate and design creative settlements in IP disputes. Clients hail him as "a masterful attorney," and as having one of "the greatest commands of patent law." In addition to directly representing clients, he has been asked to appear as an expert witness in contested proceedings.
After graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Panitch went on to earn his law degree from Georgetown University. He has maintained the prestigious AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 1978, and consistently is named among Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, the Best Lawyers in America®, and Chambers & Partners' Leading Lawyers for Business. He also has been named the Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" in Intellectual Property Law for the Philadelphia metro area. In 2013, the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association presented Panitch with its Lifetime Achievement award, an honor that reflects his legacy in IP law in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Established in 1802, the Philadelphia Bar Association is the oldest association of lawyers in the United States and has been vital to the development of the legal system in both Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. Today, the association is a source of guidance for attorneys, judges, and politicians for continuing education and any controversial legal issue. In addition, the association is a great help to the public for addressing legal issues.
