- (1888PressRelease) August 04, 2012 - Panama City, Panama - The Republic of Panama began accepting applications for immediate permanent residency from citizens of 24 countries considered to be "friendly with professional and economic ties" with Panama.
This is the first time that a country in the Western Hemisphere (possibly in the world) to have opened its doors to so many countries offering an easy, fast track immigration visa process for permanent residency which can lead to full citizenship.
The 24 Friendly Nations are: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom (England, Scotland & Wales), United States, and Uruguay.
Any citizen from the 24 friendly nations over the age of 18 can apply for this unique immigration visa by starting a Panama business, purchasing an existing Panama business, or obtaining employment with a Panama company.
The government of Panama expects to get an influx of highly trained skilled professionals and a workforce who will contribute to the continuing economic growth Panama is experiencing annually since 2004.
