Palos Verdes Montessori Successfully Completed Summer Camp 2019
The summer break of all the schools is over now. During this break, Palos Verdes Montessori had arranged a summer camp for the kids to explore more opportunities to explore and learning for the kids. The camp was held from 10th June to 16th August 2019 to encourage the kids to bring out the creativity to create something great.
- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) September 05, 2019 - The aim to arrange the summer camp was to provide a platform where the kids can have fun while learning and experimenting with new things. The activities were designed to boost the practical and critical thinking skill of the children. There were many hands-on experiments of science that they have learned through the printed letters. The project-oriented programs were focusing to make the children more resourceful.
There were off-campus and field trips for which the children safely traveled outside of the Preschool Torrance, CA under the guidance of the teachers. The on-campus entertainment shows had special guests that every kid along with their parents enjoys most.

The Performing Art: To grow the creativity and aesthetic sense among the children, performing art is the best option. There are many shows like dance, music, opera, theatre, magic, puppetry and mime that the children can understand and enjoy. The artists convey the expression through their bodies, voice or inanimate object in front of audiences. With time, it has become a part of our life as we may use it to express ourselves.
Through the lesson of the performing art, the children have experienced artistic joy and developed the skill to think critically and creatively. They will also learn to express their feelings through various channels like dance, song or drama. The pronunciation has also improved while practicing recitation or drama.
Guest Performer: To entertain the kids, the Preschool Torrance, CA has arranged programs of the guest performers. The Adaa Dance Group, the well known Bollywood, hip-hop and Jazz team with trained dancers delivered a mesmerizing performance on 12th June 2019 at the school premise. On 26th June, the exceptional talented Giovanni Ferretti, the opera singer spelled his magic through incredible singing capability. July 10th was an exceptionally entertaining and fun-filled day for the kids as Franklin Haynes Marionettes engaged the kids with his amazing puppet show. The last guest performance of the Summer Cam 2019 arranged by Palos Verdes Montessori school was Derek the Mime who has been performed as the mime artist, actor-dancer for over 30 years.
Field Trips: The school had arranged a few field trips to give the children an open window to have some exquisite experiences. The Grammy Museum Visit on 20th June was included to introduce the children about the richness of music history of the USA. The Toy Story 4 on AMC Theatre was scheduled on 3rd July. To experience them the glorious history, they had an off-campus visit to the Medieval Times; Dinner & Tournament on 17th July. They gave a double treat to the children in the form of two Broadway musicals; Mary Poppins (2nd August) and The Frozen (15th August).
