This event is free of charge and will take place Saturday, February 26, 2011 and will be held at the Massillon Recreation Center, 505 Erie St. N. from 12:00PM to 5:00PM. The goal for this worthy event is to raise $10,000. City Splash is designed to raise money for a homeless shelter that is in danger of being closed. The residents would be displaced and in need of one of life's simplest essentials… shelter. Join the community of support!
When asked about his participation Werstler stated, "I am happy to be a part of City Splash to benefit the Family Living Center homeless center. When I got back from Desert Storm, I got involved with a Veterans' homeless shelter. One particular soldier found he was homeless right after he got back from Iraq. That is something I will never forget. I believe it is important for businesses of all sizes to give back (when they can), and to remember the importance of philanthropy."
