  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) January 21, 2020 - PacketFabric, the leading Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform, today announces a significant update to its private cloud connectivity offering. PacketFabric’s hosted cloud connectivity product now offers capacity starting at 50Mbps, reduced monthly recurring costs, and additional on-ramps to the leading public clouds, available from more than 160 on-net locations.

PacketFabric now supports connectivity to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Transit Gateway. AWS Transit Gateway is a service that enables customers to connect their Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and their on-premises networks to a single gateway.

PacketFabric provides private connectivity to multiple public clouds via its hosted cloud connectivity service. Additionally, for users with higher bandwidth needs or more complex requirements, the company’s dedicated cloud connectivity service provides customers with an exclusive connection.

PacketFabric’s hosted cloud connectivity service utilizes existing interconnects between PacketFabric and the cloud service provider starting at 50Mbps, while its dedicated cloud connectivity service allows for connections between 1Gbps and 100Gbps for a customer’s exclusive use.

“Expanding our cloud connectivity options will allow PacketFabric to serve a wider audience,” said Anna Claiborne, Co-Founder and SVP of Product and Engineering, PacketFabric. “Previously, our available monthly capacity started at 1Gbps. While many of our customers demand higher capacities, we’ve created lower capacity options to meet additional customer needs. We empower our customers to create reliable, private connections to cloud service providers on their terms.”

PacketFabric has added 36 additional on-ramps in the United States, Europe, and Australia to AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). By connecting to PacketFabric’s network at any location, customers can instantly connect to any on-net cloud provider in any available market.

“Like cloud and other infrastructure services, connectivity is far from a one-size-fits-all solution,” stated Philbert Shih, Managing Director of Structure Research. “Any organization looking to provision and optimize connectivity to on-premise workloads, public clouds and third-party infrastructure service providers, needs options that are tailored to specific capacity requirements and deployment scenarios. Diversity empowers organizations to optimize their connectivity strategies, gaining performance advantages and streamlining operations.”

    PacketFabric’s additional on-ramps support:

    AWS Transit Gateway
    Speeds from 50Mbps and up
Customers easily creating redundant connections to support complex, highly available solutions
