  • Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) November 19, 2024 - Tiler Peck is the New York City Ballet's prima ballerina who has graced the role of the Sugarplum Fairy for nearly half of Pacific Festival Ballet’s 30-year run at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center. She brings her signature elegance and now a new personal joy to the role. Recently engaged to her onstage prince, Roman Mejia, Peck has woven her story into the heart of this production. In a touching moment on stage, Peck hands Mejia a single rose, symbolizing their shared passion and partnership. Also adding to the charm is the familiar group of "party adults" in the opening scene – longtime cast members who return to the stage year after year, some for over a decade. This beloved ballet is produced by Kim Maselli, renowned choreographer whose illustrious career spans television, film, and classical ballet. Her keen eye for talent has once again brought the finest in performing arts to Southern California. These performers embody the passion and commitment to their craft that make Pacific Festival Ballet’s The Nutcracker a beloved community event.
