PACC911 To Host Hike For Animal Rescue At Papago Park
The fun hike and animal adoption is open to all animal lovers and their dogs.
- Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) January 15, 2011 - The Phoenix Animal Care Coalition (PACC911) will host the Trail Trek hike and animal adoption Sunday, Feb. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Papago Park located at College and Curry Roads in Tempe. The hike is a fun way to support local animal rescue efforts as well as bond with furry family members.
Trail Trek is a one- to three-mile hike through the natural desert terrain. The easy hike is open to all - adults, kids and dogs. There will also be local rescue groups on hand with many animals available for adoption, as well as animal-friendly vendors, live music and dog contests, and a silent auction and raffle. The goal of the hike is to raise funds for animal rescue in Maricopa County, and all proceeds from the silent auction, raffle and PACC911 gift shop will benefit the nonprofit's Emergency Medical Fund (EMF), which provides financial aid to Valley nonprofit animal welfare groups needing assistance with medical costs. All animals must be on a leash, wear identification and rabies tags, and be spayed or neutered.
