P1 Groupe Signs Up-And-Coming Driver Tristan Nunez
Tristan Nunez, of Boca Raton, Florida, is just 15 years old and is sky rocketing into a professional racing career that started with karting a brief three years ago.

Tristan Nunez, of Boca Raton, Florida, is just 15 years old and is sky rocketing into a professional racing career that started with karting a brief three years ago. Catching the eye of many seasoned veterans and top professionals from around the world, Nunez quickly started getting recognized around the karting community as one of the top drivers to enter the ranks in a very long time.
Graduating from Karting and into the Skip Barber Racing Series in 2009, Nunez captured „Rookie of the Year. honors, and in 2010 became a scholarship winner in the series for the upcoming 2011 season. But that wasn.t enough. Performance Tech, a South Florida based race team that competes in the IMSA Lites L-1 class, as well as running an LMPC Prototype in the American Le Mans Series, quickly took notice of the local driver, and arranged a test for him in the teams. Nunez did not disappoint in his first official professional series test, finishing third overall among a cast of seasoned veterans and race winners. Recognizing talent when he sees it, O.Neil quickly signed the young driver to the IMSA Lites season opening races on the same weekend as the famed 12 Hours of Sebring for the ALMS. States O.Neil; "For his first professional race Tristan showed a lot of consistency and maturity. You would never guess this is a 15 year old behind the wheel. The youngest driver in IMSA Lites history, Nunez finished on the podium his very first race in a very strong second place. He will also be taking on the ranks in the Skip Barber Racing Series this season, as well as having made the decision to stay in the IMSA Lites program after such a strong start.
