- Cedar Rapids, IA (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2014 - On Monday, May 12, Maureen Kler Osako was recognized as an honoree at Ovation: A Tribute to Iowa Women and Girls, an event presented by the Iowa Women's Foundation. This year marked the 20th anniversary of the IWF. The event paid tribute to a select group of women for their "profound impact they have had on their families, communities, friends, and companies." Maureen was honored for her contribution to improving the lives of Iowa's women and girls. Below is her tribute:
Maureen Kler Osako has been part owner and Vice President of Client Relations of Informatics Inc. since its 1998 conception. Informatics is a family-owned, full-service web agency, managed by Maureen, her husband Frank and their son John. While she spends her days providing outstanding customer service, Maureen's spare time is filled with organizations, clubs and family time.
Graduating from Mount Mercy with a degree in Marketing, Maureen eventually came to communications media. When the internet came along, Maureen applied her knowledge to software, and it was a natural fit. She has hopes for the continued growth of Informatics and its ability to help clients solve problems.
Maureen is a staunch supporter of the Cedar Rapids community, volunteering with nonprofits and local businesses. She is on the boards of the United Way, Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, and IWLC, working for equal rights of women and girls in Iowa.
When Maureen is not managing a successful web company or volunteering on one of her many boards, she is spending time with family. She is a mother of two with two grandsons. She enjoys reading, yoga, biking and spending time outdoors in the nice weather.
Maureen's commendable work in the local business sector, nonprofit arena, and women's leadership community sets forth her commitment to growth, change, and support for Cedar Rapids as well as improving the lives of women and girls in Iowa.
The Informatics team would like to congratulate Maureen for this recognition and thank her for her profound impact on the lives of women and girls in our community.
Informatics is a full service web agency that provides a wealth of web related services, including web design and development, e-marketing strategies, hosting, video services, and multimedia development.
