This event is held on Greater Coastal Canine Acedemy at 111 Fox Knoll Dr Powells Point from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm that started on November 19 until December 10, 2011. In this event, visitors can enjoy a charming Christmas scene set up in an aged farm house and be photographed, complete with professional studio lighting set up, by professional photographer Kyle Carey. Each sitting only cost $15 for a 10-20 quality picture of either a 4x6, 5x7, or an 8x10. Pictures taken can also be printed as Christmas cards, request for extra prints, can be made into a photo keepsake, placed on a number of items like ceramic tiles, mugs, drink coasters, cutting boards, wine gift boxes and many more. Another great Christmas event held in Outer Banks is the "Santa's Bonfire Hosted by Kiwanis Club". This event is held on Frisco Woods Campground from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on December 5, 2011. For this event, Kiwanis Club of Hatteras Island will host Santa's Bonfire where guests can join the club members with their marshmallow roasting, caroling, hayrides through the campground and of course a special visit from Santa. Complimentary chips, hot dogs and cookies are served.
On December 6, 2011 from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Outer Banks Brewing Station, an event is presented by Outer Banks Brewing Station and Outer Banks Children @ Play Museum. "Santa & the Train" event will give its guests will a chance to have a picture with Santa, enjoy a ride at the Polar express train, participate in the special holiday arts & crafts, taste delicious eat treats & hot chocolates, join the elf costume contest and many more for only $5 for children (no charge for adults).
