- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) May 21, 2011 - On May 17th, Otmara "Omi" Diaz-Cooper, President of industry acclaimed Diaz & Cooper Advertising, was named as one of the Top 50 Women Business Leaders in Florida based on a recent study conducted by The Commonwealth Institute of South Florida and the JAE Leadership Institute at the University of Miami School of Business Administration that examined the characteristics of women leaders and the businesses they lead. DCA, who recently celebrated a decade of industry leading innovations, is a multi-award winning advertising agency whose dedication to its clients and their needs is bar none.
The Commonwealth Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cultivation of women entrepreneurs, CEOs, and senior corporate executives, providing support during critical stages of business so as to promote growth. Omi brings 20+ years of industry experience and an eclectic sensibility to everything she touches. A graduate of Florida International University, Omi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and a degree in Advertising Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Along with her work at prominent Miami and Boston based agencies, in 2000, Omi co-produced the documentary "A Woman's Place", highlighting the issues contemporary Hispanic women face. 2001 saw the inception of Diaz & Cooper Advertising, which Omi founded with husband Todd Cooper.
