Orlando Health Attorney Speaks on Careers in Health Law at Barry University School of Law
Christopher E. Brown, an attorney with The Health Law Firm, participated in an event at Barry University School of Law called "Careers in Health Law."
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2014 - On January 16, 2014, Mr. Brown spoke to about 100 law students interested in pursuing a career in health law.
As a Barry University School of Law alumnus, Mr. Brown was asked to sit on a panel with six other health law attorneys from local firms, hospital systems and medical schools. The goal of the event was to give students a glimpse into the practice of health law. The panelists gave advice on the steps students should take to get into the health law field while in school and after graduation.
Mr. Brown has practiced health law on an exclusive basis since graduating from Barry University School of Law in May 2009. He represents physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, massage therapists and other health care providers on a wide range of professional issues. Mr. Brown is involved in the representation of health care providers in licensing matters, the defense of health professionals in Medicaid audit cases, prepares appeals of administrative law cases, commercial litigation in state courts, preparation and negotiation of contracts, and has experience negotiating with the Professionals Resource Network (PRN).
