On select dates between January 27th and February 4th, professional chefs will perform cooking demonstrations with organicgirl premium salads and greens, in conjunction with the promotion of a local San Diego charity.

California-based organicgirl, offering an entire line of organic baby greens, announced the launch of its SuperGreens Chef Tour to introduce its fresh products to San Diego Vons' stores.
The SuperGreens Chef Tour will take place at 20 Vons grocery stores around San Diego County, lead by professional chefs, and feature both food demonstrations and sampling of meals made with organicgirl produce.
"San Diego is the ideal place to kick off our SuperGreens Chef Tour on January 27th and we're excited to showcase not only our organic-grown greens, but also the many versatile ways to use our products in everyday meals and cooking," said Margaret Scattini, co-founder of organicgirl. "Our intent with our Vons' chef events is that shoppers will not only experience how tasty our premium greens can be, but how easy and fun it is to take the next step of eating organic greens on a regular basis."
In addition to its new launch in Vons' stores, organicgirl products are currently available in various Ralphs and other healthy-focused grocery stores, like Jimbo's, in Southern California, but this January will mark the company's first-ever Chef Tour.
"We like to think of these demos as 'mini cooking shows' rather than what people would envision an in-store cooking demo to be like," said Scattini. "Each demo will be interactive, instructional, and most of all, delicious!"
The SuperGreens Chef Tour will feature three meal demonstrations for shoppers over a three to four-hour period at each store: salad preparation (chopping and tossing), sautéed greens in a pan or wok, and greens blended into a smoothie with other ingredients.
Brand ambassadors for the demos will also be on-site handing out special coupons and demo samples, as well as signing people up for organicgirl's exclusive email list to receive more special offers.
As part of its effort to integrate itself with, and support, the San Diego community, organicgirl has partnered with myLabProgram as its beneficiary for the duration of the Tour. Coupons handed out at each demo, as well as various community events, will give a discount on organicgirl products while also donating a percentage of profits back to myLabProgram.
myLabProgram is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects undergraduates from UC San Diego with youth throughout the community to foster technology innovation and healthy life choices.
