Orange County Gourmet Food Truck, Soho Taco, Poised to Showcase Cherished Taco At Upcoming Fullerton Stop
Critically-acclaimed gourmet food truck, Soho Taco, will be introducing a "barbacoa de res" taco as part of its specials menu just in time for their highly anticipated stop at Fullerton Public Library on December 7, 2011.
- Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) December 02, 2011 - Recently launched and critically-acclaimed gourmet food truck Soho Taco plans to unveil one of its cherished tacos "barbacoa de res" during their scheduled stop at the Fullerton Public LIbrary at 6:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
"Barbacoa de Res", a type of guisado (or "stewed" meet) taco is a mainstay in traditional Mexican cuisine, but remains difficult if not impossible to find in popular Orange County eateries, food trucks or otherwise.
This gourmet food truck's version will consist of tender shreds of beef, carefully cooked in a manner that maintains its flavor and moist texture, which is then served in a rich tomato-based salsa prepared by Executive Chef Gabe Zambrano.
In order to compliment this limited time only taco, Chef Zambrano will prepare a house speciality: "chile de aceite" salsa. This spicy, smokey smokey flavored salsa will surely please even the most discerning aficionados of Mexican cuisine.
As with all other tacos on Soho Taco's menu, this special item will be served on a tortilla hecha a mano (or a "handmade tortilla") and will come with a reasonable price tag of $2.50, tax included.
The December 7th event at the Fullerton Public Library is part of a symposium organized by columnist, editor of OC Weekly and staunch food critic Gustavo Arellano. Arellano also teaches "Barrio Studies" at nearby Cal State Fullerton and this occasion is part of the finals for that course.
