- (1888PressRelease) September 14, 2016 - FULLERTON, CA - D'Vine has left quite an impression in the Orange County restaurant scene with their distinct brand of Mediterranean cuisine. With a carefully crafted menu built on traditional recipes, D'Vine spices things up by offering diverse menu selections often not available at other Mediterranean restaurants. Founded in 2012, D'Vine is celebrating 4 years since opening their first location in Brea to rave reviews and thrilled guests. In July 2015, D'Vine opened their 2nd location in the heart of Fullerton's busy downtown district.
Founders Walid Alarja and Lena Quezada met in 2011 and quickly realized there was an opportunity to create what would become Orange County's premiere destination for Mediterranean food. Alarja, who has over 30 years of culinary experience, began as a young apprentice cook and studied at the French Culinary Institute in Alexandria, Egypt. Prior to moving to Fullerton, he sharpened his culinary skills overseas by creating a culinary school at the German Lutheran Institute and shortly after ran a successful family-owned hotel in his hometown of Bethlehem. Quezada, a former Real Estate executive, brings her years of experience in entrepreneurship & operations to build a restaurant concept that is based on tradition, creativity and passion.
Alarja and Quezada developed a menu for D'Vine that offers each guest traditional favorites and modern tastes that are without comparison. Carefully selected ingredients are used in each family inspired recipe, and dinners are paired with their popular homemade garlic sauce, which is also available to purchase in 8oz jars. All entrées are also prefaced by a delicious starter of pita chips with olive oil and house seasoning. Popular menu selections include the Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Kebab and cold mezzas like their fresh made hummus, cucumber yogurt and Mediterranean salad. Much of the menu is gluten-free, and D'Vine takes pride in using only natural ingredients that are delicious yet health-conscious. Guests can also visit the full service bar, and enjoy hard to find Israeli and Lebanese wines with their meal. No visit to D'Vine is complete without trying one of their locally famous desserts including fresh Baklava, rice pudding and ashta in delicious flavors including pistachio, rose water, almond and chocolate.
D'Vine and their second location in Fullerton spans over 8,000 square feet of carefully curated décor, with each room showing off modern flair, but mindfully holding on to old world design elements. D'Vine Fullerton touts a large multi-room and outdoor experience with a full bar, cigar lounge, full dining room and banquet hall available to rent for weddings, meetings and private events. The extensive indoor area is complimented by a large heated outdoor patio with televisions, lounge seating, tables and fire pits. Both locations offer lunch and dinner, and customers can take advantage of catering and pick-up options for their next meal.
With late nights being a popular reason to visit Fullerton's downtown district, D'Vine now offers visitors the "D'Vine Lounge" experience, with weekend hours being extended to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. The lounge includes a full bar and live music by local DJs until 12am. D'Vine also has a belly dancer that performs at both locations Friday & Saturday nights at 7:30pm.
"We knew there was a need for a fresh Mediterranean destination in the Orange County area. It was really just a matter of putting together our ideas and building the right team to make the magic happen. After 4 years, we're proud to now have our 2nd location in Fullerton." - Lena Quezada / Co-Founder
