- (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2011 - OPTCORE's 10Gb/s SFP+ ZR transceiver module complies with the 802.3ae 10GBASE-ZR/ZW electrical interface and the SFF-8431 specifications for 10 Gigabit SFP+ small form factor pluggable module. The SFP+ ZR (SFP Plus ZR) Transceiver module uses 1550nm cooled EML transmitter with TEC and PIN photo-detector for single mode fiber up to 80km. It has a 2-wire interface for SFF 8472 digital diagnostic monitoring interface. Normally operates in 0-70℃ case temperature, The 10Gb/s SFP+ ZR transceiver module uses an all-metal housing for superior EMI performance with a low power consumption of less than 1.5W, which reduce overall power consumption in communication systems and support the ever higher face-plate port density necessary to meet rapidly growing bandwidth demands. The 10Gb/s SFP+ ZR transceiver from OPTCORE answers the pending demand from switch and router OEMs for 80km transmission with SFP+ form factor transceivers.
