- (1888PressRelease) July 23, 2014 - Connect to Success, hosted by Astra Women's Business Alliance and Chevron, is a two-day networking and matchmaking event for women's business enterprises (WBEs) seeking contract opportunities with Fortune 100/500 corporations in a variety of sectors.
WHEN: Wednesday September 17 and Thursday September 18, 2014
WHERE: The Marriott Hotel and the Chevron Campus in San Ramon, CA
WHAT: Events kick off Wednesday with industry-specific workshops during the day and an evening VIP reception where attendees can network and work on their business pitch. The following day, both federal and state agencies as well as select corporate buyers will meet with WBEs in one-on-one matches to discuss specific new business opportunities.
WHO: Serving more than 1500 WBEs across six western states, Astra Women's Business Alliance works tirelessly as a champion for women-owned businesses of all sorts. Astra and Chevron Corporation present this event to provide women business owners and their representatives the chance to grow their enterprises at a national and international level.
Meeting with corporate buyers and networking with peers allows WBEs the chance to share success stories, solve business problems and meet strategic growth goals.
The event is co-hosted by Chevron and supported by AT&T, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, Marriott Hotels, Microsoft, PG&E, Transpak, Hunter Hawk Inc., Private Eyes and is produced by ARTÉMIA Communications.
WHY: The event provides an opportunity for WBEs to be matched with corporate representatives and buyers from global firms in structured 15 minute one-on-one sessions. Such meetings can become launching points for large contracts and are excellent opportunities to stand out from the rest of the suppliers seeking to meet the product and service needs of such large international organizations. Workshops the first day will help those business owners in the manufacturing and construction industries learn about the latest trends and information necessary to stay a step ahead of the competition. Keynote speeches the second day by Claudia Estrada, President and General Manager for TNC 42 Estrella TV and KCNS 38 Mundo Fox, and Joanna Bloor, VP Sales Operations at Pandora, will encourage and inspire attendees to reach for the business success they deserve. Online registration is open now; all WBEs are invited to attend and "Connect to Success."
