OnPoint Community Credit Union Announces Retirement of Senior Vice President/Chief Credit Officer Gary Lawrence

Portland-Vancouver, OR-WA (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2011 - OnPoint Community Credit Union has announced the planned retirement of Gary Lawrence from his position as senior vice president/chief credit officer, effective January 2012.

Lawrence joined OnPoint in November 1997 as manager of the credit union's Lloyd Center branch and has served as the senior vice president/chief credit officer since May 1999. During his tenure, he was responsible for all aspects of the credit union's lending program, including oversight of consumer lending, mortgages and business lending. He also provided direction and oversight of OnPoint's new loan products, policies and procedures.

Lawrence has also been an active volunteer in the community, serving on the board of directors of the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Oswego Rotary. In 1997, the Lake Oswego Rotary named Lawrence Vocational Member of the Year for his dedication and work on behalf of improving the community. He looks forward to golf and traveling with his family in his retirement.
