(1888PressRelease) January 08, 2019 - The renowned ultra-luxury hotel chain, One & Only has recently appointed Jacques Le Roux as a resort manager at One & Only Nyungwe House. The One & Only Nyungwe House is situated in an operational tea estate in Gisakura in southwest Rwanda, which is at the edge of Nyungwe Forest. The resort welcomed its first guest on October 1, 2018. Manager Jacques will have the responsibility of overall operation of One & Only Nyungwe House with the strategic development of the brand’s name in Rwanda.

Mr. Jacques will be bringing a vast experience of 10 years in the luxury hospitality to One & Only Nyungwe House. He has worked as a General Manager, Resident Manager and Camp Manager previously in several African lodges, hotels and camps. Before joining One & Only Nyungwe House, Jacques held the position of General Manager at Africa’s Eden Belo Monte, which is an exclusive boutique hotel in São ToméPríncipe. He steered and guided there a staff of over 100 team members and he was in charge of various operations namely Marketing, Sales, and reservations. Previously Jacques has worked in Bermuda, South Africa, Europe, and Botswana.

Mr. Jacques Le Roux grew up outside of Cape Town, South Africa. He left school to travel where he moved to the United Kingdom and joined the Nike Hotel Group. He studied hotel management and hospitality. After finishing the studies he joined their hotels as Conferencing and Banqueting Manager. After that, he shifted to Bermuda and worked on cruises for several years. Finally, he returned to South Africa and started working in lodges around the Kruger National Park.

Jacques is reporting to the President and COO of One & Only Resorts Philippe Zuber. He is responsible for creating unmatched and memorable experiences for guests at One & Only Nyungwe House while keeping the promise of a fascinating experience. Mr. Le Roux will be developing innovative strategies for One & Only resorts that celebrate the best of Mother Nature. One & Only’s Gorilla’s Next will open in 2019.
