One of the First FIAT 500 Pre-Order in Texas Secured by Northside Fiat of Houston
Peter Salvatore, a Northwest Houston area resident, is believed to be one of the first in Texas to pre-order the all-new FIAT 500. He did so through Northside FIAT of Houston-one of the newest and presumably largest FIAT franchises in Texas.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) January 27, 2011 - The all-new FIAT 500 is scheduled to be reintroduced to the American market later this year after a 27 year hiatus. While the automotive industry is all abuzz about the return of the FIAT nameplate, former owners are displaying the most enthusiasm.
Peter Salvatore, a Northwest Houston area resident, is believed to be one of the first in Texas to pre-order the all-new FIAT 500. He did so through Northside FIAT of Houston-one of the newest and presumably largest FIAT franchises in Texas. Salvatore, a long-time FIAT fan, previously owned a 124 sedan and a 128 FIAT and he's pumped about the return of FIAT.
"My family is from Italy and I have a home there, so when I'm in Italy I enjoy renting a FIAT," Salvatore said. "Now, I can own one again. I'm very excited about the return of FIAT. So much so that I've already pre-ordered the FIAT 500."
In so doing Salvatore considered many options. Ultimately, he decided to work with a dealer group that is intimately connected with its customers and FIAT in Texas. With other Houston area FIAT dealers to choose from, Salvatore landed on Northside FIAT of Houston which is owned by Alfred Flores, President and Bruce Glascock, Partner.
Salvatore knew they were the right people because, as he puts it "I was pleasantly surprised to see the owners of the store with their offices on the showroom floor. They are very welcoming and engaged with their customers."
With sophisticated Italian blood lines and racing expertise in the FIAT family of cars--including Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Lancia-the FIAT 500 is expected to be a big hit. The car will be displayed for the first time in Texas at the Houston Auto Show later this week.
Ed Paez, General Manager of Northside FIAT of Houston, said. "We're excited about being the first in Texas to be working with passionate FIAT customers. Everything we do with and for FIAT will start with our customers."
Flores and Glascock point to plans for the dealership to host FIAT car shows at their new showroom studio--an exclusive FIAT presence at 1501 Lake Robbins Dr. Suite 130 in The Woodlands Waterway District, to open in April-as an example of how they intend to stay close to their passionate fan base.
Until then customers can catch up with the FIAT team at their Spring Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership that will house the FIAT store initially at 21027 Interstate 45 North, exit 70A.
The group is one of only 130 dealers nationwide that were selected from among 600 applicants for a FIAT franchise, because of their reputation as outstanding dealer operators.
Just ask Peter Salvatore.
"I am so impressed with FIAT. At around 5:30 pm Christmas Eve there was a knock on my front door. When I opened it the delivery man handed me a large silver tube," Salvatore said. "Inside was a rendering of my numbered car! You just don't get that kind of treatment from any car line."
