  • (1888PressRelease) August 04, 2016 - Santee, Calif. − After fierce competition at the Aquece Rio Olympic Test Event in Rio de Janeiro, Caleb Fischle-Faulk is coaching up-and-coming gymnasts at Champion Gymnastics & Cheer (CGC) in Santee.

"We are thrilled with the addition of Caleb Fischle-Faulk to our coaching team," said Champion Gymnastics & Cheer Head Coach and Co-Owner JJ Ross. "His gymnastics skill and experience competing locally, nationally and internationally combined with his desire to impart his knowledge will help our students reach the next level in their gymnastics and cheer."

The former Escondido, California resident began competing at a young age and participated in the U.S. Junior Olympic Program locally for 10 years before becoming a member of the University of Iowa Men's Gymnastics team with whom he has competed for the past three years. As a dual citizen, Fischle-Faulk had the honor of representing Jamaica as a Senior National team member when he competed against the best gymnasts in the world during the 2016 Aquece Rio Olympic Test Event. As one of only three Jamaican men in the contest, he came very close to qualifying for the 2016 Olympics.

In his coaching role at CGC, Fischle-Faulk will be working with the Optional Level Girls Team to help them achieve and perfect higher level skills that will be instrumental to their success in upcoming competitions. In addition to coaching and completing his college degree, he will continue his gymnastics training at CGC in preparation for additional international events such as the University Games, Pan-American Games, Commonwealth Games and the 2020 Olympics.

Ross added, "Gymnastics is always a favorite sport to watch at the Olympics and generates strong interest with girls and boys of all ages. CGC welcomes new athletes to their gymnastics program. We believe Everyone is a Champion at CGC!"
