OLM stall at Capital's 'Technology and Rural Life' exhibition
The birth centenary of renowned social worker and former Rajya Sabha Member of late Sri Nanaji Deshmukh was organized at I.A.R.A conference hall of PUSA, New Delhi.
- (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2017 - While paying tribute to the great social activist Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi put emphasis on the livelihoods of rural poor and the application of technology to rural development. On this occasion an exhibition on the theme ‘Technology and Rural Life’ was organized by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), GoI to exhibit the national level schemes for upliftment of rural poor all over the country. In this exhibition, Odisha Livelihoods Mission placed its stall of Special Fund Projects supported by MoRD. Prime Minister along with other senior officials and guests visited the stalls. SMD-cum-CEO Sh. Pranabjyoti Nath (IAS) including other state officials and SHG members of different districts from the state were present.
On this occasion, a panel discussion was held at A.P. Singh de conference hall of N.A.S.C, PUSA, New Delhi. Sh. P.J. Nath (IAS) highlighted the aspects of good design and target oriented rural development planning. He also emphasized upon the need of eco-friendly technology and professional support to develop the Livelihoods of rural poor in the desired manner. Along with it Sh. Nath, also highlighted that planning must recognize various layers exist among the so call a perceived group of poor.
The panel was chaired by Sj. Sanjeev Phansalkar. Bureaucrats, media persons, NGO leaders, academicians, senior govt. Officers along with political leaders have also attained the program.
