  • St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2011 - Whether you need to fine tune your finance skills or confront a fear of finance strategies, the new Financial Skills for General Managers certificate program offered by the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis is an excellent opportunity for mid- and senior-level managers to strengthen their knowledge of finance.

    Financial Skills for General Managers is one of three new open enrollment executive education certificate programs designed to equip managers with the skills and strategies needed to meet the challenges of the 'new normal' economy. Led by Todd Milbourn, PhD, the Hubert C. & Dorothy R. Moog Professor of Finance, the curriculum will give participants the skills to critically evaluate projects, alliances and possible acquisitions for their organizations. Upon completion of the program, students will have a firm grasp of financial terminology and be better equipped to approach financial strategies.

    Financial Skills for General Managers is offered in four two-day modules to optimize the learning experience and accommodate busy managerial schedules.

    First module begins: April 6, 2011. Application deadline is March 21.

    Olin's certificate program courses are held on the Washington University campus in the Charles F. Knight Executive Education and Conference Center in St. Louis. In addition to Financial Skills, Olin offers certificates in Leadership Essentials for Managers and Supply Chain Strategy & Management.
